Army of India 1799-1826, 1 clasp, Bhurtpoor (G. Brown, 14th Foot.) short hyphen reverse, officially impressed naming, good very fine

George Brown was born at Limerick in 1794 and enlisted as a Drummer in the 4th Veteran's Battalion in 1807 at Youghal, County Cork. He served in India and was present at the Siege of Bhurtpoor, when he was wounded in the head and loin by a mine explosion on 18 January 1826.
