Identity tag, engraved upon a Persian coin, bearing the name of 'Lieut. W. Messenger. C.E. R.F.A.', very fine, together with cap Badge and cloth rank insignia (4)

W. Messenger served in the ranks (No. 51590) of the 32nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery in France from 23 August 1914 (1914 Star Trio), before being commissioned Lieutenant. His Medals were issued to 255 Sydenham Rd, SE26.
