Michael Clarke was born at Liverpool on 10 March 1874 and joined the Royal Naval Reserve in 1897. Living at 55 Park Street, Liverpool, he died of bronchitits at the Royal Naval Hospital, Plymouth, having been aboard Powerful, on 27 September 1918, aged 45. He is buried in the Liverpool (Allerton) Cemetery; sold together with copied service record.
