Four: Private H. H. Curtis, Army Veterinary Corps, who died on 1 June 1915 under mysterious circumstances

Henry Herbert Curtis was born at Cirencester, Gloucestershire in July 1884, the son of Charles and Ellen Curtis of Carhampton, Taunton. He served with the Army Veterinary Corps during the Great War and is recorded on the Medal Index Card as entering the war in France on 21 August 1915. Notably the Army Register of Soldier's Effects places his death in Meerut General Hospital, India. However he is buried in St. Sever Cemetery in Rouen, suggesting that he died in France; sold together with copied research including M.I.C. and Commonwealth War Graves details.
