George Frederick Wainwright was born at Cadoxton, Barry, the son of Mr. F. Wainwright of 41 Stroughton Street, Grangetown, Cardiff. Enlisting in Cardiff with the 2nd Battalion, Welsh Regiment, he was killed in action on 15 October 1916. He is buried in the Philosophe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe; sold together with a typed biographical note.
