The St. Albans Collection of English Gold Coins | NGC UNC Details | George I (1714-1727), Two-Guineas, 1726, laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, seven strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 16.77g, 5h (MCE 244; Schneider II, 543; EGC 501; Murdoch II, 8; Waterbird 18; Stratos 161; Spink 3627), tiny marks on chin, otherwise bright and cartwheel lustrous, flares of brilliance in legends, a pleasingly bold extremely fine, and immensely sought after in this exemplary technical grade, a handsome coin in any connoisseur's rigorous consideration, with NGC 'St Albans' Certification, harshly graded UNC Details ~ Obverse Repaired (#6295553-031)
