(g) The St. Albans Collection of English Gold Coins | NGC AU58 | George III (1760-1820), 'New Coinage', Sovereign, 1817, laureate head right, rev. St George and Dragon, edge milled, 8.01g, 6h (Marsh 1; MCE 464; Stratos 114; Spink 3785), rubbed but attractive with handsome honey-orange peripheral tone overlying lustrous fields, a pleasing very fine, the immensely sought after first year of issue, with NGC 'St Albans' Certification, graded AU58 (#6295553-041)
