The St. Albans Collection of English Gold Coins | NGC AU58 | Anne (1702-1714), 'Pre-Union' Guinea, 1702, laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, rose at centre, small pellet above upper-most crown, seven strings to harp, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 8.36g, 7h (MCE 209; Farey 460; Schneider II, 525; EGC 458 [R2]; Murdoch II, 845; Douglas-Morris 4; King -; Spink 3562), light flecking, otherwise lustrous and residually flashy, almost extremely fine, the exceedingly rare first date of issue, seldom encountered in commerce, with NGC 'St Albans' Certification, graded AU58 (#6295553-026)
