The St. Albans Collection of English Gold Coins | NGC AU53 | William III (1694-1702), Guinea, 1701, second laureate head right, rev. no stops after MAG, FRA and HIB, crowned shields cruciform, five strings to late harp, six billets, emblem-adorned plain sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 8.34g, 6h (MCE 186; Schneider II, 511; Farey 440; EGC 425; Spink 3463), small mark on chin and light flecking on throat, otherwise lightly toned and lustrous, a pleasing very fine, with NGC 'St Albans' Certification, graded AU53 (#6295553-024)
