Mechanical Separation: 1844 a group of three covers bearing adhesives which appear to have been cut with a mechanical separating device with 1844 (2 Sept.) envelope to London bearing 1841 1d. OF, with eccentric vertical cuts, tied by "325" numeral of Tobermory, redirected to Chelmsford with a further 1d. added, cancelled by "17" numeral with straight-line "Oxford St W.O." alongside and with the appropriate backstamps; also June and July two envelopes from Frenchpark in Ireland to London bearing FJ on first and KE, SE on the second, each showing the similar irregular vertical cuts.
