Liverpool: 1840 two stampless entire letters from U.S.A. to Halifax, both carried privately to Liverpool and both with unframed "liverpool/ship letter" on the flap as well as good strikes of different types of handstruck "8" in black; usual filing creases, good examples of this unlisted handstamp; also 1775 entire letter to London bearing a fair strike of "liver/pool" and London Bishop mark on the reverse.
