The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1722, fourth laureate head right, nose to I in HIB, Roman Is in legends, rev. crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, six hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 7.87g [121.5grns], 5h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/247 this coin; MCE 255; Farey 660; EGC 517; Spink 3631), scratch through obverse field and a flaw after M at 12 o'clock, otherwise bright but lustrous on a curiously underweight flan, a bolder very fine, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification (#6380983-247)
