1842 Riddell correspondence entire letter, datelined "Camp Sulliana 31 Jany 1842", from Major Riddell to his wife at Indore, marked "Bearing", on reverse framed Ferozepoe datestamp with "10as" inserted by hand; fine. The only letter from Riddell from Camp Sulliana, he describes the march from Ferozepore towards this camp near Kussoor, the crossing of the Sutledge river with a convoy of more than 500 camels, laden with ammunition and other military stores.
