1827 (25 Aug.) entire letter from Bray to a Member of Parliament in Downpatrick, sent free, marked "bray/10" and with superb "registered/25 au/1827" circular d.s. in red on reverse. Very fine and rare, opening well for display.

Note: At this date, registration was only operational within Ireland, extending to the rest of Britain in 1841. A registered free franking is most unusual.
