1826 (Nov.) entire letter from Dublin to Cheltenham with superb red script "Above the priviliged number" handstamp, rated "2/4" in manuscript and with red Irish Lozenge datestamp of 19 Nov. 1826 on the reverse; a few minor perimeter faults but an exceptional example of this extremely rare Dublin mark. One of only four examples recorded in "Failed Free Handstamps of the Franking System" by Galland and Colton (2014). Photo
