1823 (8 Nov.) entire ship letter from Colombo, Ceylon to Cape of Good Hope, rated in London 4d. inland letter, 1/4d. double, outgoing ship letter 2d. making 1/10d. struck with boxed "india letter/deal" and "post paid shiplr/london", endorsed on the reverse "The letter cleared 11th Ap 1823 by A.G.R. having been retained in consequence of Inland Postage not being pd ... forwarded to Cape by A.G.R.", ten months and eighteen days from the date of writing. Fine and unusual if not unique
