1822 (11 June) entire letter written in Spanish from Kingston to Madrid, sent via Havana to be forwarded to Cadiz by a Spanish vessel, where it was struck with an "isla de/barlovento" handstamp. On arrival it was disinfected with two chisel cuts and charged "9R" (reales). one of very few letters with this handstamp that originated in Jamaica. Photo
