1831 (8 Sept.) and 1833 (27 Apr.) entire letters from the Charles de Gray correspondence addressed to different people in Bermuda; the first went per Plover to Halifax, rated "4/2" and with circular-framed "a" at centre crossed by filing crease, this handstamp used by West India Room to re-route the letter for Halifax despatch, scarce with fewer than ten known strikes of this handstamp on mail to Bermuda; the second per Lyra from Falmouth (6.5) to Halifax and Bermuda, marked "p May Mail" and rated "2/2" and "4/2" (Bermuda currency), despatch datestamp on reverse with this being the last trip of the Falmouth Packet to Bermuda after which time Cunard carried mail from Bermuda to Halifax under Admiralty contract
