Undated entire letter in French probably written by a crew member of the Ville de Milan, a French frigate captured off Bermuda by H.M.S. Cleopatra, and addressed to a member of the prize crew on board H.M.S. Cleopatra; 1825 (23 Sept.) entire letter (a little discoloured) to Scotland and 1826 (3 Feb.) entire letter from Edinburgh to Bermuda, both smuggled and without postal markings; and 1833 (17 Jan.) entire letter to Ireland, carried privately to London where it was put into the post by Robert Pilkington and showing Crowned "free" d.s. (16.7) in red
