(g) NGC MS64 PROOFLIKE | George III (1760-1820), 'Garter' Half-Guinea, 1813, seventh laureate head, rev. crowned Garter shield, edge obliquely milled, 4.18g, 12h (Selig 1065-66; Stratos 50; EGC 859; MCE 448; Spink 3737), quite brilliant, with pleasing portrait cameo definition, much as issued, the perfect complement to the exalted Military Guinea of the same date, in NGC holder, righteously graded MS64 PL (Cert. #6295555-001)
