MAG • BRI • FR • ET • HIB • REX • 1776, crowned lion standing left on crown, edge plain, 2.86g, 12h (Montagu 552; W&R 137; EGC 884 [R2]), die lines and friction to lustrous and brilliant fields, usual flaws behind ties and to left of crown, otherwise with hints of orange hues around legends, a thoroughly pleasing example of this extremely rare pattern, extremely fine, and quite erroneously condemned by past third-party grading
