The Lost Collection of Simon English Esq. | Commonwealth (1649-1660), Unite [of 20-Shillings], 1650, Tower, • THE • COMMONWEALTH • OF • ENGLAND • English shield within palm and laurel wreath of fifteen leaves, rev. • 1650 • GOD • WITH • VS, conjoined shields of England and Ireland, 9.07g [140.0grns], 10h, m.m. sun [on obverse only] (Montagu III, 663 this coin; Murdoch II, 362; EGC 6; Lockett 3534; Schneider II, 338 same reverse die; North 2715; Spink 3208), a gorgeous reddish-pink tone overlying lustrous original fields, handsomely struck up and uniform, extremely fine or better but for traces of die clashing, very rare with the fifteen leaf obverse variety, in truly stupendous condition already proven worthy of the exalted Montagu Cabinet and as a catalogue plate coin
