Sold together with notes from the previous owner which state:

'Present at storming of Ghazni fortress July 1839, Purwandurrag, Forts of Tooranddurrah & Joogah - Kohistan 1840, forcing of passes to Jellalabad 1841 to 1842, Jugdullock 8th September 1842, Tazeen (pass) 13 September 1842, Cabool 15 September 1842.

Servant to Colonel Dennie who was killed during breakout 7th April 1842 when Akbar Khan was defeated and Regt. received title (P.A.).'
