Approximately 33 Medals with these dates to the Royal Engineers. The Roll gives further details on his service:

'Taranaki Campaign 1860-1. Actions at Kaihihi 10 October 1860. Mahoetaki 6 November 1860. Operations at the Waitara from December 1860 to March 1861.'
