(x) Sikh Empire, Ranjit Singh (VS 1856-96; 1799-1839), Nanakshahi Rupee, 11.1g, Amritsar, VS 1877 (1920), with face-like symbol below bind, and numeral '2' to right of leaf on reverse, but letter alif of akal missing (Herrli 01.07.04; Gurprit Singh 01.44.01, KM 20.1), irregular tone caused by hoard staining, very fine to good very fine, scarce with missing letter (Tikkanen 514)

A rare variety. Gurprit Singh notes only one coins of year VS 1877 with missing 'alif'. This may be only the second discovered.
