Great Britain: South Sea Company (Governor and Company of Merchants of Great Britain Trading to the South Seas), an attractive printed power of attorney, October 1720, authorises Carolina Pain to sell and transfer all shares, annuities etc. standing in the name of Margaret Tomlin of Margate, large vignette of the arms of the company at top, black printing with manuscript insertions, signed by Margaret Tomlin at bottom with red wax seal, embossed revenue stamps. A nice example of this rare document, VF and very rare. We last sold an example for £1800 in 2018.
