Great Britain: Exchequer receipt dated 28th March 1783, for the sum of £57 10/- for 3 months pension, received by Spencer Cowper of Robert, Earl of Northington, one of the four tellers of the Exchequer. Printed form with manuscript insertions, signed by Spencer Cowper. Major General Spencer Cowper, 1726-1797, fought in the American Wars, cousin of the poet William Cowper and of the family of Earl Cowper. Usual but minor trimming. Fine.
