Ottoman Empire: Ottoman Smyrna and Cassaba Railway and Extension Company, 4% Loan, 1894, bond for £20 or 500 francs, #9956, part of a sub-divided bond of £1000, very large format piece with ornate border, black and orange, text in French, Arabic and English, with coupons. It would appear that a few years after the original issue of one certificate for 50 bonds they were exchanged for individual certificates for 1 bond each. More research is necessary to ascertain more detail. VF and scarce.
