Great Britain: British Submarine Boat Co. Ltd., £1 shares, 190[5], #112, blue. Formed to acquire the patents and submarines belonging to French inventor M. Claude Goubet. Goubet failed to interest the French Government in his invention so he sold to this syndicate which promptly tried to interest the British and other Governments in this small fighting submarine. In the end the company failed as preference was for the larger Holland type vessel. VF and rare. We sold #5 in 2016 at £380 [R11].
