Great Britain: Severn & Wye Railway & Canal Company, Guaranteed New Shares, 185[8], #1420, scrollwork at left, black on pink paper, embossed seal. First Incorporated on 10th June 1809 as the Lydney and Lidbrook Railway, connecting the rivers Severn and Wye. Reincorporated 21st June 1810 as above. The 26 mile narrow gauge (3ft 6in) line opened in 1813, amalgamated with the Severn Bridge Railway in 1879 and formed the Severn and Wye and Severn Bridge Railway. This passed to the Midland and the Great Western companies in 1894.GVF+.
