Great Britain: Canterbury Navigation & Sandwich Harbour, £25 share, 1826, #1223, issued to the Mayor and people of Sandwich, a lovely piece with attractive vignette of Canterbury Cathedral, coats of arms and ship being drawn along the canal in background, black on thick paper. Formed to build a canal from Canterbury to the proposed harbour and wet dock to be built at St. Nicholas Bay. Light water staining as is usual with these pieces, EF.
