Sikh Rulers of Patiala, Amar Singh (1765-81), Rupee, 11.20g, Sahib Singh (1781-1813), Rupee, 11.1g, both Sahrind, undated, struck in the name of Ahmad Shah Durrani (KM C#10, C#20 var), the first darkly toned, about very fine, the second with weakly struck reverse, but clear mint name, good very fine / very fine (2)

Amar Singh was the grandson of Ala Singh, becoming ruler at the age of 18. He was very brave and just and Patiala saw a lot of improvements during his reign. He also secured the release of 20, 000 Hindus from imprisonment under Ahmad Shah Durrani.
