This medal is unusual in having been sponsored by the Royal Mint, from where it could also be purchased. A total of 1 (AV), 547 (AR) and 742 (AE) large medals are believed to have been struck. Additionally, 3 (AV), 150 (AR) and 5379 (AE) small medals are believed to have been struck.
