Joseph Harold Metcalfe was born in at Richmond, Yorkshire in 1891 and served in France with 'A' Battery, 52nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery from 13 May 1915. Young Metcalfe died of wounds suffered in action on 1 October 1915 and is buried in Le Treport Military Cemetery, France; sold together with copied research.
