Patrick Crosbie was born in Dumfries and worked there as a Labourer before enlisted on 3 December 1890. After his service on the Punjab Frontier he joined 1st Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in South Africa. Crosbie died in Charlestown, South Africa on 15 May 1902.
