Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 (69774 Gnr: W. Winner, 15th Coy. S.D., R.G.A.), unofficial rivets between first and second clasps, some wear to edge, very fine

William Winner was born at Gradesstone, Norfolk in 1870 and enlisted in the Royal Artillery at Great Yarmouth on 9 December 1888. During the Boer War he served in South Africa from 9 December 1999-17 July 1900, before serving in China from 18 July 1900-29 March 1901 (Medal without clasp). He returned to South Africa from 30 March-23 November 1901. During the Great War, Winner served overseas from 1916 (British War & Victory Medals).
