Jesse Morley Gordon Tidey was born at Horsham, Sussex on 17 January 1899. Enlisting with the Royal Field Artillery on 6 February 1917 at Brighton and served with 14 Reserve Battery. He was posted to France in 1918, remaining there until discharge on 1 February 1919 when he returned to his home at The Gables, Partridge Green, West Sussex. Tidey died on 8 October 1977 at his home of Glenlea, Partridge Green, West Sussex; sold together with handwritten notes and copied research including census data, service records and probate calendar listings.
