A group of Great War British-manufactured propaganda Iron Crosses (6) blackened iron, about very fine, one with damaged ring suspension

Produced in Britain during the Great War to mock Germany's award of the Iron Cross for bravery in action; many different styles, designs and patterns were struck which often featured the names of Belgian towns & cities particularly badly affected by bombardment during the opening months of the war.
