The Prince of Wales to The British Association for the Advancement of Science" signed "Edward P" and with enclosed typed letter from the Prince's secretary explaining that this is a gift from the Prince; also a 1941 typed letter signed from Winston Churchill as Prime Minister announcing his intention to appoint Smith a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Bath in the New Year Honours, signed "Winston. Churchill"
