Elkington & Co. Silver Presentation Medal - Oval medal, this example suspended from a ribbon, the obverse with the Prince of Wales's feathers and crown, surrounded by the garter of the Order of the Garter, in turn surrounded by the Collar of the Most exalted Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) The initials G & M are either side of the cypher. The reverse "TRH George Prince of Wales & Victoria Mary Princess of Wales India 1905-6". A total of 1625 of these medals in silver were awarded to the officers and crew of HMS Renown, HMS Terrible and the Royal Yacht HMS Osborne (20x25mm)
Together with
Elkington & Co. silver medal with conjoined portraits of the Prince and Princess of Wales, the reverse with "TRH the Prince & Princess of Wales Visit to India 1905-6" and the cypher (as above) in the centre of the design. With replacement ribbon. Worn either around the neck or as part of a group mounted (51mm in diameter)
