1876 (13 March) Autograph letter to "Mrs. [Alice] Spencer" over four pages from H.M.S. Serapis on seldom seen H.M.S. Serapis headed stationery, letter reading "... My great regret however is that I did not see you before you left the "Undaunted" to wish you goodbye ... I am very very sorry - but will not say goodbye - but "au revoir" which I trust may be the case next year in dear old England.". Fine
