1858 (13 Nov.) envelope to Boston bearing 1854 1/- dull blue (cut into at right) with 1858 imperf. 1d. pale emerald pair cancelled by "5" in barred oval, manuscript "8" in red ink with London Paid c.d.s. (3.1) and N.York Am. Pkt. (29.1), the reverse with a faint strike of Ballarat despatch oval and Melbourne c.d.s. A fine and attractive cover though this one is not registered.
