Transit Mail through U.K.: 1857 (17 Jan.) stunning envelope to Locarno, Switzerland bearing 1854-55 2/- dull bluish green pair, 1/- rose-pink and blue registered stamp (with left margin) plus 1856 Queen on Throne 1d. yellow-green pair tied by "4" barred ovals with Sandhurst despatch oval alongside, handstruck "d6" and orange crayon markings, with London large crown/"registered" in red and a light strike of the first type open oval "registered/g.p.o." dated oval (9.5) code "M" plus Calais transit, the reverse with Melbourne oval, Basel and Locarno arrival (17.5) datestamps, There is some light soiling on the reverse and the adhesive lifted (or part lifted) and replaced, but do belong.
