1862 (30 July) envelope to London bearing 1855-63 imperf. 40c. red-carmine strip of five and two singles plus Italy 1862 perf. 20c. indigo tied by neat Milan despatch c.d.s. in red, marked "6/ G22½ / 14868" in black ink plus other manuscript markings, unframed "P.D." in red, straight-line "assicurata" in red, a good strike of the rare London Foreign Branch "sardinia/registered" around crown and the standard-type London registered dated oval code "E".
