1858 (18 Oct.) commercial entire letter to Paris bearing 1855-57 4d. carmine-rose and 1/- green tied by London Inland Section "24" barred ovals, marked "Registered" in red ink, Lombard Street c.d.s., oval "registered/london" code "E" and wide crowned "registered" in red (W&J 1131a) plus French "chargé" in black and Calais transit, the reverse with Paris arrival (19.10); the flap with two holes where the French wax seals have been removed; there is a small oil mark at top where an adhesive repair has been removed. An early stamped registered item to France
