Postmasters' Notice: 1859, No. 5, two page instruction sent to postmasters, "All Registered Letters, Registered Packets, Official Remittances, etc. etc., To be Tied with Green Tape". Instructions include, "This Instruction must be kept in the Portfolio supplied to Postmasters." Some age soiling and part of the back page is missing.


Addressed to the postmaster on Lundy, which was not thought to be opened until 1887. (not illustrated)
