French Troops: 1860 (24 Sept.) envelope to Monsieur Canel, captain of the 102 Infantry Regiment "Corps Expn du Chine" send "Par Suez" bearing imperf. Napoleon 20c. pair (touched to good margins) tied by indistinct lozenge with faint despatch c.d.s. and boxed "PD" in red, the reverse with Nantes and other French transit c.d.s. This cover would have arrived in China in November 1860 when the armies were camped outside of Peking


1860年9月24日由法國寄給在中國的法國遠征軍第102 步兵團營長Monsieur Canel 信函. 封上註有"Corps Expn du Chine" 及 "Par Suez" 字樣, 貼拿破倫無齒20c. 一雙. 銷菱型戳及模糊調發戳. 另有紅色框型 "PD" 戳. 封背有Nantes及其他法國的中轉戳. 該信函應於1860年11月送抵中國, 當時法軍在北京城外紮營.
