1860 (15 Mar.) envelope addressed to Paris bearing imperforate Napoleon 40c. (good margins) tied by a good strike of "cecb. cl." in lozenge with "corps exp. chine/bau central" c.d.s., small boxed "PD" in red and, on the reverse, Marseilles and Paris (27.4) c.d.s. There are a couple of light wrinkles or creases, a pleasing and attractive cover and scarce mail from this office when it was based in Hong Kong

The Central Bureau opened its military base office in Hong Kong for less than three months in 1860 (between 15 Feb. and end Apr.)


1860年3月15日香港法軍基地寄巴黎信封, 貼法國無齒拿破倫40c. 票一枚, 銷"cecb.cl." 菱型戳, 及"Corps Exp. Chine/ Bau Central" 日戳, 另蓋紅色小型方框 "PD" 戳; 封背蓋馬賽及巴黎4月27日日戳. 信封有些摺痕. 在短暫法軍駐香港基地發出的少見郵品, 極有吸引力及值得珍藏.
