H.M.S. 'Niger': 1858 (4 Jan.) envelope addressed to Captain The Hon. Arthur A Cochrane, Hong Kong, sent "Via Marseilles/Paid" and bearing 1855-57 4d. (2) with 1d. red tied by London "50" numeral, the reverse with the despatch c.d.s. and straight-line "kensington" (?); fresh and fine. It is believed that this letter arrived in Hong Kong on 28th February

1858年1月4日英國經馬賽寄香港郵封, 封上寫有 "Via Marseilles/ Paid" 字樣, 貼1855-57年4d 兩枚及紅色1d 壹枚. 銷倫敦"50" 數字戳, 封背蓋調發日戳, 及"Kensington" 戳. 此函相信於2月28日遞扺香港. 保存良好.
