H.M.S. 'Imperieuse': 1859 (11 Nov.) envelope to Lieut H. Fawkes, HMS Imperieuse Channel Squadron (crossed through) and "East Indies & China" added; bears 1d. Red cancelled by "364" barred oval and a good strike of "returned for postage/1/-/the amount/deficient" in red; the reverse with High Wycombe despatch and three London datestamps. An interesting cover, the 1d. rate was correct for the Channel Squadron, but the 'Imperieuse' had already left for China. An interesting cover and a very scarce Return for Postage mark


1859年11月11日經倫敦寄英國戰艦"Imperiruse" Channel Squadron (但劃去)上的Lieut H. Fawkes 信函, 上端方另加寫有 "East Indies & China". 貼紅色1d 票, 銷364號㰐圓戳, 左下方蓋 "Returned for Postage/1/The -Amount/ Deficient" 紅色戳記, 封背蓋High Wycombe 調發戳及三枚倫敦日戳; 原本1d 郵資是寄 Channel Squadron 的正確的, 但"Imperiruse" 號已經起航往中國了, 這是一件充滿趣味性及帶罕見退回郵戳的信函,
